Société VIA will sort and sell over 90,000 tonnes of recyclables for the western part of the City of Montreal, thus enabling the company to fulfill its social mission of creating some 50 jobs. As an adapted company, Société VIA will enable the hiring of people living with functional limitations, which contributes positively to the social impact in the region.
Quality at its best
To date, Société VIA operates four sorting centers in the province: Lévis, Québec, Rivière-du-Loup and Saguenay. With its wealth of experience, the Société VIA team focuses on the quality of its products, making it a benchmark in the recycling sector. The company ensures rigorous control at every stage of the sorting process, to produce bales that exceed the most stringent industry standards. “In addition to ensuring the continuity of operations at the Lachine sorting center, Société VIA will be helping to create new, adapted jobs in the Montreal region. For us, two priorities remain: to keep our social mission alive while ensuring optimal, high-performance sorting of recyclable materials,” says Jean-Sébastien Daigle, President and CEO.
