On September 16, Société Via was honored to welcome the Mayor of Montreal, Valérie Plante, for an official visit to its facilities on the city’s west side.
Since the adoption in 2022 of the bylaw banning the distribution of Publisac, there is now six times less paper to sort. The city’s initiative, which has had a ripple effect throughout the province, is a better choice for the environment and, at the same time, helps reduce contamination of bundles, as well as facilitating the processing of residual materials for those working in the sector. A great initiative by the City of Montreal!
