Confirmed success: “BacStage” open house lights up our sorting centers
A few months after our first BacStage open house, we can confidently say that the event was a resounding success.
Born of a desire to show the residents of Lévis and Rivière-du-Loup behind the scenes of our sorting centers, the project quickly evolved into a partnership with the region’s various residual materials management players, in particular with the cities’ environmental departments, who perceived the public’s enthusiasm for organizing a large-scale awareness-raising activity.
Exceptional results: More than 750 educated and amazed visitors to our open house.
The results exceeded our highest expectations, and then some. In all, more than 750 visitors, young and old, came to visit our facilities and learn more about the recycling process after collection. Most of our visitors have told us that they now look at recycling in a different way, and that they’ve come away “changed”.
In addition to the educational activities and tours, our visitors enjoyed a festive and fun atmosphere outside the plants. The distribution of free ice cream and the many inflatable games delighted many families who took part in the activities on June1 and 3, 2023.
Success motivates us: Get ready for a second edition of BacStage
Given the extraordinary results and overwhelmingly positive feedback on the organization of the event, we can proudly announce that BacStage will be back for a second edition in the near future. Come along for the ride!
